About our Turban material
Our Turban material is made of the
finest
cotton from the famous Mills of Mumbai. We provide Rubia
Fine and Mulmul. Other material types can also
be obtained (see below).
Rubia Fine
is a light, manageable, strong 100% cotton material with a weave
density that enables easy tying of a neat turban with fewer creases. ORDER HERE.
Mulmul, also 100% cotton, has a less dense weave than Rubia
Fine, resulting in a lighter turban. It is often used by Sikhs who
prefer to starch their turban material. ORDER HERE. Click here (or on the link on the left) for suggestions on how to tie your turban material into a tuban.
Disclaimer The material may include a chalk mark for the length of the original roll. This should wash out. Very
occasionally, there may be the odd slight blemish or imperfection in
the material. This is largely due to the fact that it has been
manufactured in traditional cotton mills in India. Be assured that we
do
check and discard material we deem unacceptable for our customers.
Before
Use
Our turban material comes directly from the manufacturer. Therefore, we recommend
washing your new material before use. Please wash by hand, using
luke-warm water and a gentle laundry detergent.
Options The online standard order length is 5 metres. Other lengths and orders from outside the UK can be
easily arranged - just
contact
us. Different colours or material types can also be
obtained, but may be subject to longer delivery times. History
read here about the history of the turban.
